The Herbrew’s University with its Center of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, let me say, one of the science institution which have a great respect in developing science for future human well-being. We’ve all knew that science and technology have brought many changes in our world in a past decades.
For interdisciplinary approach in nanometric research, it has impact in a wide range application, such as:
· Conduct a research which carried out on nanostructured semiconductors, superconductors, and composite materials.
· Study and quantify medicine systems which are under development that traps single cells to the molecular level
· Research is being carried out in nanophotonics and on optofluidic components and devices to provide smaller, faster and more versatile options for telecomunication.
Now, about 30 competent researches work in Centers, lead and develop the cutting-edge projects. In this Center consist at least 3 departments which are Department of Physical Chemistry, Department Inorganic Chemistry, and Faculty of Medicine. The well-known researches such as Danny Porath, Sholmo Yitzchaik, and Dan Gazit conduct several research in these departments and faculty.
As I note before that science is developed for human well beings, it is important to make a transfer from laboratory to the real life. Therefore, Herbrew’s University active Technology Transfer Services Company named Yissum, which is run by a professional in a legal and marketing field. Over the past 40 years, Yissum has granted more than 400 technology licenses and is responsible for commercializing successful products.
